I’ve worked locally as Director of Ilkley Literature Festival, regionally as Literature Officer for Yorkshire Arts and led the National Association for Literature Development. I am a Visiting Academic at Manchester Metropolitan University and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.

I founded and direct The Writing Squad, developing writers across the north of England, now funded as part of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio.
